What is Pack Verify?
Pack Verify is a quality control step that confirms the correct items were packed before an order ships. The warehouse team scans each item's barcode, and the OMS confirms it matches the order.
Orders that pass Pack Verify are marked confirmed. Orders with discrepancies are flagged for review before the label goes out.
The Pack Verify flow
The packing slip has a barcode at the top. Scan it to pull up the order in Pack Verify.
Scan the barcode on each unit. The OMS checks it against the order's expected items and quantities.
After all items are scanned, choose the box size used. This is used for billing and audit.
If everything matches, confirm. The order is marked verified and ready to ship.
Troubleshooting
Scanner won't recognize the barcode
If the scanner can't read the packing slip barcode:
- Check that the barcode is not folded, torn, or smudged.
- Try scanning the order label on the box instead — the tracking barcode can also pull up the order.
- If neither works, enter the order number manually using the search field at the top of Pack Verify.
Discrepancy flagged — item doesn't match
If Pack Verify flags a discrepancy (scanned item doesn't match expected SKU):
- Stop and do not ship the order.
- Pull the correct item and re-scan.
- If you believe the correct item was already packed and the scan is wrong, contact Ceries support. We'll review the pack verify photos and clear the discrepancy if confirmed correct.
Order not found in Pack Verify
Orders only appear in Pack Verify after a label has been created in the OMS. If the order is missing:
- Confirm the label was created (check the Orders page for "Label Created" status).
- If the label was created more than 5 minutes ago and the order still doesn't appear, contact Ceries support.
